This set brings together four essentials of Middle Eastern cooking with a unique cookbook. Through its pages filled with traditions and humanity, you’ll discover over 80 traditional recipes, along with short bios and portraits of resilient women with an enduring willingness to share.

The set includes:
- A cookbook (in French, Ko Éditions): a collection of the most iconic Syrian dishes, including mezes, aromatic grilled meats, and delicious sweets
- A jar of Aleppo spices (50 g): also called Aleppo Seven Spices, this aromatic blend beautifully seasons meats when marinated or upon serving, especially lamb and kebabs
- A jar of ground sumac (50 g): fruity, tart, and delicate flavours to enhance hummus, salads, grilled chicken, fish, potatoes, and more
- A jar of homemade zaatar (100 g): a blend of spices and aromatic herbs traditionally sprinkled on bread soaked in olive oil. Also delicious on salads, soups, pizzas and hummus!
- A bottle of pomegranate molasses (360 ml): a concentrate of fresh Syrian pomegranate juice to add flavour to dressings, marinades, and even ice cream!
Les Filles Fattoush is above all a social enterprise that offers initial work experience to female Syrian refugees in Montreal. It’s also a large family with a passion for food that brings us the colours, aromas and flavours of its beloved country.
