This playful and touching piece showcases a nostalgic pattern inspired by the one that has adorned boxes of Portuguese sardines for decades. A collection of small fish with light grey silhouettes in contrasting embroidery on a navy blue background.

Note that the first wash will bring out light wrinkles in the seams, which is a feature common to all quilts. If you prefer an unwrinkled appearance, you use it as a wall hanging or a decorative throw at the foot of the bed to avoid washing it.

With a background in fashion and design, and inspired by the immense know-how of her mother, a dedicated craftsman, Shayla Bond has moved away from the digital world in which she had been working for the past decade to focus on creating a more tangible connection to her work.
