This piece showcases a quilt’s quintessential geometric patterns arranged as a play on shadow and light, size and perception. Small embroidered polka dots in a Sashiko style add a playful touch to the overall look.

Note that the first wash will bring out light wrinkles in the seams, which is a feature common to all quilts. If you prefer an unwrinkled appearance, you use it as a simple decorative piece to avoid washing it.

With a background in fashion and design, and inspired by the immense know-how of her mother, a dedicated craftsman, Shayla Bond has moved away from the digital world in which she had been working for the past decade to focus on creating a more tangible connection to her work.
