Fascinated by the purity of forms, a point of balance between the refined and the raw, Catherine Nadeau is directly inspired by the landscapes she moves through. Always seeking, she collects organic objects, compelled by their singularity. It is from these natural fragments that she develops her creations, drawing a connective thread between the past and the present. This metamorphosis is carefully orchestrated; the collected object takes on a new identity where the memory of its original essence is conserved within the curve of its own relief. It is in this way that each agile creation traverses time and captures the agility of the movement between.
In Algarve, between the Serra and the coast, there are century-old trees; sculptures rooted in uneven soil, they offer luminous fruits. The Barrocal earrings carry with them the fissured texture of the bark of these trees in their process of constant renewal.
